Placing our clients in control of performance and compliance means we have to stay one step ahead of the latest developments within the industry, while nurturing links with organisations across our business community. And there's no better way to do this than at the leading industry event of the year – the Facilities Show at the ExCeL in London.
This is one annual event that is worth the visit as it gives us an opportunity to catch up with clients and suppliers, as well as listening to debates around the issues affecting FM professionals today.
In particular, the Safety & Health Expo (part of the Facilities Show) was at the top of our agenda. As the UK's largest event focused on this topic, it proved to be an invaluable opportunity to hear about the latest products and services on the market. Seminars spanned topics as diverse as improving occupant wellbeing and risk assessment in the digital age.
Kevin Spicer and Beth Burrage, members of our Quality, Health & Safety and Environment (QHSE) team, were on hand to rub shoulders with the H&S community. The Expo represents a great way for the team to ensure Sowga's meticulous quality standards continue to lead the industry when peer reviewed against other organisations.
One of the event highlights was the presentation by our CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) system provider SimPRO on its latest offering – SimPRO IoT – which uses intelligent, proactive and connective technology known as the 'Internet of Things' to provide real-time data for businesses in the field service industries. Our thanks go to the team at SimPRO for their hospitality, complete with drinks in the rooftop bar!
Our decision to utilise SimPRO's powerful software for our clients is based on our trust in the organisation's support, development and functionality of the product, enabling us to track and plan asset performance so our maintenance and upgrades are based on fact, not supposition.
