Our history

The Sowga name originates from the different processes it was set up to serve: steam, oilwatergas and air.

We have been involved in all aspects of mechanical services since our formation in 1977, ranging from the prefabrication of pipework to the installation of complete boiler and compressor houses and pumping stations.

These core services were the heartbeat of the organisation until 2009, when the current owner David Howard acquired the business and developed it into the company it is today. As part of that strategic plan, Sowga has diversified and integrated other emerging practices, to become a fully-integrated building services engineering company. Through sustainable development and the expansion of our in-house engineering team, Sowga has grown to be a valued provider within the facilities management industry.

Our market-leading clients have learned to trust in our expertise, so they can get on with their jobs knowing they're in safe hands. All work is run by a highly experienced and qualified 'hands on' management team with over 75 years of combined experience.

Looking to the future, our company continues to expand and now operates out of three offices across the South of England, in central London, Bristol and West Sussex. We are also striving to meet our own energy efficiency goals and lowering our carbon footprint by adding zero-emission electric vehicles to our current fleet.
