Such is the case with a number of our projects, the strong relationship built through being the incumbent contractor meant that Sowga were nominated to undertake the installation works on site. Being notified by our client AXIS Europe, necessary roof works were required, with Sowga being instructed to isolate, disconnect and remove the existing AC units on the roof in order for the works to be completed, but to also provide a temporary AC solution to ensure that the tenants within the building remained comfortable in their working environment while the works took place.
Once these roof works were completed, the aforementioned removed units (that were taken from site and stored at Sowga's own secure site) were reconnected and tested, with all plant on site back to as before installation. All of the unit removal and reconnection works required the use of a crane, with Sowga using our trusted partner Lee Lifting to ensure the smooth running of operations.
Running alongside these works another project was also completed onsite by our team, with the isolation and removal of a gas-powered generator requested by of one of the site's occupying companies. Weighing 1.6 tonne, a larger crane was required, meaning that part road closures had to be put in place, with the orchestrating of traffic flow being integral to there being no disruption to external operations. Due to there being a variety of companies at different stages of the project, Sowga had to ensure that all communications and planning were at optimal levels so that all phases were implemented seamlessly, with this only being possible through efficient project management from our team.
