Broadgate Estates

Formed in 1986, Broadgate Estates have built a reputation of managing iconic London properties on behalf of British Land, including some of London's most prestigious and iconic developments such as Regent's Place and Paddington Central. The buildings within Sowga's West End portfolio are part of Broadgate Estates' unrivalled collection of mixed-use developments and landmark properties.

In 2016, Sowga were awarded the maintenance contracts for properties on behalf of Broadgate Estates located in one of London's most exclusive areas, the West End. These contract wins have allowed for a partnership to grow and develop with Broadgate Estates, granting Sowga the opportunity to sustain and improve the performance of a collection of their prestigious mixed-use buildings. Sowga's portfolio spreads from Mayfair to Marylebone, with our service embodying Broadgate Estates' ethos of 'enabling remarkable places to perform'.

Working alongside Engineering Managers and Property Managers, Sowga maintain sites with varying engineering demands, ranging from weekly mobile visits to fully manned sites with teams of resident engineers. Examples of these demanding but rewarding sites are York House, a distinctive five floor development of modern office space and luxury residential units, and 10 Portman Square, a stunning seven floor development comprising of modern office space and retail units.

Alongside the preventative and reactive maintenance we conduct on site, installation & project works are also the responsibility of Sowga's skilled and reliable team. With our collection of specialist engineers, we provide Broadgate Estates with innovative and sufficient ways to conserve energy and optimise plant performance while also utilising cost-effective methods and practices.

We are always willing to go above and beyond our service level agreements (SLAs), seen when we realised the benefit of bringing in our in-house implementation team outside of the scope of the contract to improve service standards and ensure compliance was being upheld. As a result of this extra effort, our key performance indicators (KPIs) improved as did our level of performance.

As a maintenance provider for this luxury commercial portfolio, the needs of the high-end occupiers must be understood and met, with the level of our service allowing us to treat the occupiers like guests within their office environment. Through the consistent, attentive and reliable provision of PPM and reactive works on site, we ensure that we offer the level of service that the client and occupiers expect and deserve. This has recently been recognised with one of Sowga's demise engineers, Des Barker-Johnson, being awarded Employee of the Quarter at Broadgate Estates. Also notably, our engineers Dariusz Ramotowski and Jean Barros have received special recognition by British Land for their on-site performances, with Dariusz also being awarded Employee of the Quarter in the past.

Sowga strive to provide a self-delivered service, carrying out all the maintenance to the Mechanical, Electrical, HVAC, BEMS, Fire, Security, Fabric and Public Health elements within the buildings we maintain in a conscientious way.
