Static Engineer – Green Park, London

Overview:

We are recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to work 45 hours, Monday to Friday. This role undertakes mechanical maintenance and repair, as required under contract.

Our Maintenance Engineers are key to our business and our client relationships. You will need to not only be able to deliver the best maintenance and repair service, but also go above and beyond to ensure our client has the best experience and an excellent partnering relationship with Sowga Ltd.

 

The Key Duties of this Role are:

  • You will need to have a positive attitude towards your work responsibilities & adopt flexible working methods to meet the needs of the role. It is necessary that you have good communication skills together with strong problem-solving abilities as you will have regular client contact.
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and complete the appropriate paperwork and reports, ensuring all tasks are completed within contractual timescales.
  • Carry out Reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete the associated paperwork.
  • Be on a call out rota to provide the client with full out of hours cover.
  • Proactively reduce energy consumption on site.
  • Supervision of visiting sub-contractors with regards to standard of work and Health and Safety.

 

Qualifications and experience required (Essential):

  • Qualified to City & Guilds Level III or equivalent in Mechanical discipline.
  • Have successfully completed a registered apprenticeship or obtained full requirements, including all knowledge and performance assessments, of the Level 3 NVQ Mechanical discipline.
  • Must be able to lay out and prepare work in accordance with Building Regulations and Water Regulations/Bye-Laws
  • Completed unvented hot water systems training.
  • Must have at least four years' experience working in their discipline.
  • Must possess particular and productive skills and be able to work without supervision in the most efficient and economical manner.
  • You will need a good Knowledge & experience of working on commercial Mechanical & Electrical plant & systems including, testing & fault finding on a variety of equipment Including: BMS / Plumping / Sanitary Wear / Drainage Systems / Low Pressure Hot Water Systems / Pressurisation Systems / Ventilation Systems / ACOPS L8.
  • PASMA and IPAF 1b/3a/3b
  • Completed F-Gas (Category 1) City & Guilds 2079 (desirable)
  • IOSH Working Safely (desirable)
  • First Aid Certification (desirable)
